Esperance

No wonder this wonderful town was voted WA's best Town.  If you turn up the heat by 10% and turn down the wind down it would have been our best town.

Stayed a few nights at Cape Le Grand National Park which is about 50kms from Esperance.  It was a lovely camp spot called Lucky Bay.

Cape Le Grand had the whitest sand I have ever seen, with beautiful blue water.  The sand so so soft it was just like silk to walk on.

We organised the kids early today and did a great walk up Frenchmans Peak which was a three kilometre return trek with beautiful views of Hellfire Bay and Rossiter Bay.

We decided to stay a few days in the busy little town of Esperance.  Parked our van in another great Caravan Park right on the beach, we even had ocean views.

Sami was so excited that a seal was named after her.  Sammy the seal spends his time under the jetty at Esperance and has been a local istitution for more than ten years. He basically lounges around and occasionally raises his head for photo opportunities and only gets excited when some fishermen throw him some of their catch.

Christmas parties are starting to happen at the caravan parks with happy hour starting well before the usual time of 5pm. The kids are loving the parties and it's nice to share a meal with new friends especially when your husband is too sick to talk.
